we had a terrific weekend of learning and networking at Con-Version 26 in Calgary. Got to chat with such luminaries as mega-award-winning science fiction author Robert J. Sawyer, award-winning fantasy author David B. Coe, and Hollywood stars (and all Star Trek alumni) Marina Sirtis, John deLancie, Robert Picardo, Ethan Phillips, and the lovely and talented Chase Masterson.

The highlight of the weekend was actually the two-day IFWA writers' workshop with David B. Coe where we critiqued and discussed the works of seven writers, including my new project, The Broken Shield. Here's the cover prototype, which I use to keep me inspired...
